When I was a little girl, I loved spending hours at the beach buildings sandcastles.
10x10 stretched canvas collage, lots of layers and beeswax! Just experimenting with the layers and the wax and having fun. I started with a drawing on the canvas, filled in the colors (underpainting), collaged red papers around the edges of the canvas and old book paper in the middle. Next came more paint and gesso layers with some writing and stenciling and finally when it was all done a nice layer of wax.
